Daily Devotional – 11/3/16 “Take your hands off!”

take-your-hands-offLately, I’ve been feeling some type of way. It’s a feeling I can’t explain neither will I try. Because usually when I feel this way it means the Lord is working something out in my favor. And I wouldn’t dare try to intervene and mess it up. I’ll simply wait patiently until it manifest because I’ve found that when I put my hand in it, I run the risk of messing things up. And for somebody reading this, take your hands off because you’re messing it up. Take your hands off the keypad of the phone, tablet or computer. Don’t you dare respond, you’ll mess it up. Take your hands off of that situation, you’re messing it up. No ma’am, no sir; you might not understand but trust the Man and take your hands off. Stop trying to fix something that’s bigger than you. Quit trying to resolve an issue you don’t have the power too. Take your hands off and step away, you’re messing this thang up. That child you’re fighting, take your hands off. That job, take your hands off. That place of worship, take your hands off.

Beloved, you can’t solve every problem. You can’t mend every broken heart. You can’t have a say in everything. This may be the time for you to hush, remove your hands and wait. Even for the man or woman of God reading this, you too have to take your hands off. Stop fighting with the deacons. Stop arguing with the trustees. Stop losing sleep over why this isn’t working for you when it’s blowing up for someone else. Stop trying to figure it all out. It isn’t for you to fix. Take your hands off. The bible says in 1 Peter 5:6-7, “So humble yourselves under the mighty power of God, and at the right time he will lift you up in honor. Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” This, whatever “this” is, isn’t your battle. You are simply on assignment. Do what God has told you to do and let Him handle the rest. He never told you to suit up for this battle anyway. You took it among yourself to dress out for war when all He told you to do was go to the battle line and wait. This is why you need to take your hands off before you completely mess it up.

Daily Devotional – 11/2/16 “Before you condemn!”

You do realize that people are entitled to their opinions and beliefs, right? Then why is it that when you REALLY become saved you try to bash folk over the head with the beliefs you just started taking serious. Take Halloween for an example. You are all upset because the pastor took his/her kids trick or treating, dressed in a costume but what about all those times you play and dress up as Holy? I mean, you’re mad because the “church” gave out candy but were you complaining when it got back to the house and you stayed up eating it? You rarely attend church yet you want to tell folk how God will feel with what they’re doing. What about you? You claim to be concerned with folk playing with the enemy but what about those days you play with your devotion.

No, I don’t get all dressed up in costumes but I don’t knock those who do. And just because you dress up, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re accepting the holiday. It could just mean you’re living. With my nephew, he enjoys Halloween and if he asks me to buy him a costume, I do. But I also take him to church, teach him about God and tell him the difference between right and wrong. So before you turn your nose up and put your mouth on folk, work on yourself. Before you try to get me to buy in to your beliefs, learn what they really are. And while you’re doing that, why don’t you take a step back and reflect on the times you tricked or treated. Look, you don’t have the right to condemn but you do have the right to teach, love and admonish in righteousness. Get out your feelings because we have a responsibility to help nature kingdom workers not prune them, that belongs to God.

Our heart on the pages!!

When I began to write The Family of Lies (it has had a few titles) I was simply being obedient to God who told me to use my gift. Then I asked my sister LaQuisha Rucker-Fields if she wanted to write it with me and she did. I’d write a little and then send it to her and she’d write a little and send it back.

Never would I have imagined it would turn out the way it did. This isn’t my typical writing yet it’s ALL GOD! See, this book has a lot of God in it but it’s not fully Christian so I didn’t classify it as such. Plus I didn’t want to hear the Holified Saints who have a problem with a curse word or sex scene, as if they don’t do either of them.

However, I needed God throughout this book because too many families are dealing with drama, lies and generational curses that are tearing them apart; every day!

It is my prayer that this book reaches all those who need it. It is my prayer that this book reaches the best sellers list. It is my prayer that you see our heart in it! We left it all on the pages because we had to put ourselves in their shoes. It’s not real stuff but it’s realistic.

Oh my GOD!! The book is now available! Can you not feel my excitement? Can you not feel the joy? I am so ecstatic to hear what you think.

This book, written by my twin sister and I, was a great experience. It’s one that I don’t take lightly because there are a lot of sisters who aren’t close. Yet, I get to enjoy this journey with her and I love it. I pray that you all enjoy the book as much as we enjoyed penning it to paper.

Will you ALL support it? Will you show out in a major way? All you have to do is download, read, review and recommend. I also need you to share with ALL of your friends. It doesn’t take a lot and it only cost 300 pennies.

Here’s the link … Get your copy and then let’s discuss!

Happy Reading

This book digs into family drama and how lies can tear, once close, sisters apart. It was an awesome experience to write with my sister and it is my hope you all enjoy the book as much as we did writing it.

For my sister, this is her first book and it is my hope you ALL will support in a major way. All you have to do is download, read, review and recommend. But I also need you to share with ALL of your friends. It doesn’t take a lot and it only cost 300 pennies. #thatsit
