Daily Devotional – 12/30/15 “Don’t count out 2015!”

Somebody is already making plans for 2016 but what about the last two days of 2015? Don’t you know that God can send a miracle, in these last two days that will change your entire outlook for 2015? Haven’t you heard about the Man who can heal you by breathing new life into your body? It can be done in two days. God is the type that will allow a financial blessing to hit you on 12/31/15, before the New Year even rings in. Why are you already counting out this year when you have a God who can do wonders in the blink of an eye? Why are you overlooking the rest of this year when things can happen, just like that? I don’t know about you but I’m not counting down the days of 2015 but I’m counting on my God. I don’t know about you but I’m not waiting to next year to become great when I know God can still make me greater in this year. I don’t know about you but I’m counting in my God. Why? I have that type of faith. Yea, I have that type of faith because my faith is in a man I know can do it. I have faith that God will still open doors, in this year. I have faith that God will still heal, in this year. I have faith that God will deliver, in this year. I have faith that God will set some people free, in this year. Oh, it’s the way my faith is set up!

I’m not worried about next year because the bible tells me in Matthew 6:31, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” I’m not counting on tomorrow because the bible tells me in James 4:14, “How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog–it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.” I’m not about to brag about what the New Year holds for me because I don’t know but I surely know who holds tomorrow. This is why the bible says in Proverbs 27:1, “Don’t brag about tomorrow, since you don’t know what the day will bring,” so I’ll just live for today. Stop waiting until next year to petition God when you have ample time in this year. Don’t put off today waiting until the New Year because you might not see it. Don’t miss the worship service on tomorrow thinking you’ll make it to the first Sunday in the New Year, you might not see it. All I’m saying is this … Don’t overlook the remaining days in this year waiting on the New Year when God can still do it for you now. Don’t miss your blessing, don’t miss your healing, don’t miss your deliverance or your breakthrough waiting until the New Year; it can still happen in 2015.
