New Book – I’m Not Crazy

Imagine waking up one day different. You can’t explain it, but something just isn’t right. One minute you’re happy and the next sad. One moment you’re loving and the next angry. The voices you hear, the different moods you experience and the sad looks in people’s eyes makes you wonder if you’re losing your mind.

For Savannah Graft, she’s been dealt some heavy blows in her lifetime, but has managed to overcome them. Now, happily married to her husband, Pastor Shane Graft, mother to Kennedi and Baby Shane, First Lady of Victory Temple and the owner of SG Graphics; life is good.

Until one morning, she woke up different. She isn’t herself, yet she can’t see it. She recognizes something is wrong, but she can’t explain it. All she knows and continually says, I’m not crazy. Truthfully, she isn’t she’s depressed.

In this book, we begin a conversation to peel back the layers of postpartum depression, in the home and in the church. Although this is a work of fiction, every day somebody is dealing with the effects of mental illness and depression. In the church they tell you to pray and fast more. In the world, people say you’ll be okay, but how do they know.

Read Savannah’s story to see if she finally admits to needing help or will she continually hide from fear of herself, judgment or ridicule.

I’m Not Crazy is now available for download on Amazon Kindle and Kindle Unlimited. Paperback version will be available soon.

I wish I could take credit …

I wish I could take sole credit for penning all the books, I have but I didn’t do it alone. Truth is, I couldn’t do it alone. Writing, for me, isn’t about money or fame, I write because it’s assigned to my name. This is why, every book is prayed over; before, during and after.

It’s not about me. If it were, I’d continually push books, with no rhyme or reason. If it were about me, I wouldn’t care if a message was received by the readers, it would be about royalties. If it were about me, I wouldn’t care about the negative reviews but I do (some of them). However, this isn’t about me. This ministry of Lakisha, the Author … it’s all God!

I’m grateful to God and to the readers and supporters who are there for every release. I’m even more appreciative of the seasons of drought because they have me time to work, study and get better.

I wish I had the magic answer, the right keywords for ads, the perfect promoter, the thing that’s going to catapult your career and increase sales but I don’t. What I do know is, it takes time. For someone who don’t think their work is enough, it is and DO NOT, under any circumstances, give up! You got this but you’ve got to keep going, keep writing, keep preaching, keep believing, keep trusting and keep getting up!

It’ll payoff when you pray, tithe, trust God and work your faith.

I’m a living witness and if you need proof, click HERE to see.

Happy Reading,
Lakisha

Dear sister,

Dear sister,

I apologize for being the bearer of this gut wrenching news but …. You cannot be mad at ALL men simply because you’ve made the mistake of choosing ALL the wrong ones. In other words, stop making all men pay for the mistakes of a mistake.

Here’s the part that may hurt, even more … take some time to heal! You can’t do this running from relationship to relationship. Find YOU, love YOU and believe in YOU first before you give yourself to anybody, other than God. This means, you may have to spend some time by yourself and be okay with it.

Take yourself out – if you can’t spend time with self, you definitely can’t spend time with somebody else.

Boost your own confidence – If you don’t believe in you, how can you convince somebody else?

Love you – If you don’t know how to love you, how will you know when someone else does?

Not all men are bad and the one meant for you, will find you when you stop sabotaging you.

Sincerely,
A concerned sister who wants you to be happy.
