Daily Devotional – 2/12/16 “Love the hell out of them!”

Valentine weekend is upon us and I pray that all of you are being loved like you should. However, this Valentine Day I want you to do something different. Don’t just love the ones you’re with but I need you to also love the hell out of some folk you normally wouldn’t. For the bible says in Matthew 5:44, “But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you!” So this Valentine weekend show kindness to those you know don’t like you, those who are always talking about you, those who consistently check ALL of your social media pages, those who never support you no matter what it is, those who make it hard for you to pastor, those who roll their eyes when you walk into a room, those who are wishing bad on your life … LOVE THE HELL OUT OF THEM. How? It’s simple; smile at them, hug them, pray for them, continue to preach to them, wish them well, support them and keep living because this gets them every time. See, I’ve found that when you love the hell out of folk, eventually their hellish ways will change or they’ll leave you alone.

The bible even says in Proverbs 25:21, “If your enemies are hungry, give them food to eat. If they are thirsty, give them water to drink?” This is all in loving the hell out of them! Why? Well, when you do, they are shamed and you get rewarded. You don’t have to take my word for it because Proverbs 25:22 says, picking up from the verse above; “You will heap burning coals of shame on their heads, and the LORD will reward you.” So quit bowing down to their level of immaturity and stop trying to get back at them. When they lie on you, love them. When they push you, pray for them. When they giggle, give them grace. When they hate, hug them. When they want to argue, offer them advice. Because when you do this, you’ll be rewarded for your effort. So this Valentine weekend, love the hell out of folk and see if you don’t see the difference.

P.S. I know y’all love me so you can send all my gifts via Pay Pal … LOL! Seriously, I wish you much love, not just because it’s Valentine’s but because I do!

Love them
