12:13 AM Prayer

God, I come before you, in this hour, for somebody who needs to be prayed for right now. Someone who is about to give up, give in and let go. Someone who’s at their wits end. Someone who’s struggling to breathe, spiritually and naturally. God, I know all our days were not meant to struggle because you’ve encamped about us legions of angels who are at our command. So, I ask you to cover me while I call down every demonic thing that is trying to rise up against your people. Protect me while I decree deliverance for your people from the hand of witchcraft that seeks to destroy the mantle you’ve given.

God, you didn’t create us to struggle every day! You didn’t make us, by your hands, for us to die in debt and sin. You made us! You made us to recover, receive, be fruitful and multiply. You made us to overcome. You made us to be well and wealthy. You made us to be healed and whole. You made us to speak life. You made us victorious and I refuse to stay in this sunken place when you’ve made us survivors. Today God, we shall come out. And by your release of the Holy Spirit, I command you ma’am, sir to come out. Come out of the struggle gospels, today we survive. Come out of the misery, you must survive. Come out of bondage when God has adjudicated your case and cleared your name. Come out, it’s time to be free. And I declare that although we have to struggle, sometimes, we’ll survive every time. By God’s power. Abba, we thank you. Amen.

I’m not Crazy, I’m depressed

What happens when the #FirstLady of the church is depressed? Who can she turn too while people whisper and she’s finding it hard to worship? Where can she go when society has labeled her as strong and now she can’t show weakness?

Read I’m Not Crazy HERE

I’m Not Crazy speaks to depression in the church. It’s not always prayer, speaking in tongue and oil because sometimes you need all those things plus a therapist and medicine.

Stop with the stigma of, he/she is crazy. Stop labeling yourself as crazy. Truth is, you’re not crazy, but you may be depressed.

Happy Book-a-versary

Happy Anniversary to my first partial Christian Fiction book. I had no idea what God was doing with me and writing, in 2016.

Yet, I trust Him.

Then this baby comes and it blew my mind. A book written about sisters, by sisters. My first time getting LaQuisha Dionne to write with me and I loved it. A book filled with church drama, family lies and secrets. (There is cursing and sex, so yeah, if you’re overly righteous, skip this one 😐)

Now, The Family that Lies has over 350 reviews and is currently 32 on Amazon’s Top 100 AA Christian Fiction Books. 🤗

I’m proud of me, of us! Happy Anniversary, bookbae! 🥳🤩

If you haven’t read part 1 & The Family that Lies: Merci Restored … don’t be rude … GET IT! 😜

Devotional Nugget

If you don’t change your mindset, it doesn’t matter what state you move too, the color you make your hair, the clothes you wear or the friends you associate with; things will still be the same.

Change your MINDSET and what MATTERS to you will too.

What does the Bible say about mindset? What does God say about mindset?

Romans 12:2, “Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”

Daily Devotional – 9/14/16 “Love doesn’t hurt!”

Lakisha, the Author's avatarLakisha, the Author

Each time I hear news of another woman being murdered by the hands of someone who claimed to have loved them, my heart drops. Every time a child has to watch their mom die, in front of them, my soul aches. With every death, there is a yoke being attached to those left behind. A yoke bonding pain to love.

Love doesn’t hurt.

Sure, love can sometimes take you through trials, put you on a roller coaster ride of emotions or even cause you to do some stupid things; nonetheless, love shouldn’t hurt. Love should never give you the right to take another person’s life. Love shouldn’t give you the right to dictate, “if you can’t have me no one can.” Love isn’t bruises, black eyes, broken bones … love shouldn’t hurt like this and neither should it leave a person damaged or fearful of love.

Bible tells us…
