My NOW is sacred.

A memory from my blog showed that I shared this six years ago.

Baby, it’s still true.

See, I’ve come to understand that sometimes our comfort can quickly become discomfort because of who we’re around and where we are. This is why you must protect your NOW. What’s your now? It’s your current place, condition, mental capacity, happiness, relationship, job, business, church, blessing … you get it.

Why is this important? Because if you don’t protect it, who will (outside of God)? And if you don’t protect it, there’s a risk it can be tainted. Therefore, be mindful of the invitations you extend and accept. Be mindful of who you call when you’re going through. Be mindful of who you vent to. Be thoughtful of those you trust with your spiritual life.

And at all times be in prayer!

Understand me … this isn’t something that happens overnight because coming to terms with the fact that there may be people you have to disconnect from is hard. But it’s necessary. It’s necessary for your survival, sanity and spiritual walk.

So, beloved, protect your NOW.

As for me, I’m protective of my NOW because I realize everybody who smiles at me may not be good to or for me. I’m defensive of my NOW because I don’t need any dark spirits penetrating my home or my spirit. And I’m unapologetic about my NOW because I don’t owe anybody an explanation.

My NOW is sacred. What about yours?
