The enemy got you so confused this morning. Yea, he has you thinking that nothing you are doing will succeed, that nothing you set out to do will prosper, he has your mind playing tricks on you, got you going through your spouse’s stuff and he even has you thinking crazy thoughts; that’s his job. You got up this morning messy as hell and that’s because you laid down last night with the enemy attached to your back. You got to the job with your attitude on ten because you’ve allowed the enemy to ride shotgun. You posting all your business on Facebook because the enemy is on your shoulder beckoning you to do it and like a fish, you took the bait! Baby, God doesn’t work in confusion; He doesn’t even abide in confusion so why are you allowing the enemy to confuse your life? The enemy needs you to sabotage your relationship, he needs you to fail at your job, he needs you to flunk out of class, he needs you to take that drink after you’ve been sober 30 days, he needs you to smoke that weed after you’ve been clean for 3 months, he needs you to shut your bible after you’ve been committed to studying the word, he needs you to buy those shoes after you’ve been faithfully paying your tithes, he needs you to bad mouth the pastor, he needs you to turn folk away from the church, he needs you to cause hell in the church and he needs you working for him – that’s his job! The enemy’s job is to cause hell and confusion in our lives, daily.
Oh but wait, hold on because there is good news; great news actually for the bible tells us there are ways to get the enemy to leave us the hell alone. Yea! For the bible says in James 4:7, “Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.” – This means we must submit our entire being to God, not part but every part of us. We can’t have part of ourselves in the world and part of ourselves in God because then the part of us that is in the world, the enemy will then think belongs to him. Ephesians 6:11 says, “Put on all of God’s armor so that you will be able to stand firm against all strategies of the devil.” Now, please understand, this doesn’t mean physical armor but this is spiritual armor because our battle isn’t physical. God’s word says we need the belt of truth (your word) around your waist, breastplate of righteousness (honesty) on your chest, feet ready to go at all times, a shield of faith (that’s trust), a helmet of salvation (that’s deliverance) and a sword of the Spirit (that’s God’s word). (Ephesians 6:14-17). Baby, we have to have God’s word so embedded in us that every time we get ready to fight the enemy it knocks him out before he even gets close enough to do us harm. We have to be so ready for the enemy that it makes him cringe when you turn over in the middle of the night. This is why we need to get back to studying God’s word y’all because Ephesians 6:12 says, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms,” – this is the enemy! The enemy is confusion and he is running rampant in our minds at this very moment and if we don’t do something about it we will lose every time. We need spiritual boot camp – you ready?
