Daily Devotional – 3/31/15 “This time next month…”

As this month slowly closes out, I declare and decree that my life won’t be the same this time next month. Yes ma’am, yes sir; I am declaring even greater things than what is already taking place because I have that kind of faith! If you don’t believe in the power of faith that you have in the God that’s in you, what you got Him for? Baby, I believe that God will do everything I need Him to do. I just trust that God will do supernatural things in my natural life! Why? Well, I’ve seen His miraculous works. Chile, I know Him to be a wonder-working God and He said all I had to do is ask with the faith as if it’s already done and it shall be. So, I am decreeing that I always keep God first. I am declaring that a door shall open that will elevate my career in Jesus name. I declare that folk will know my name in ministry and that souls are saved through me. I declare that my books will be bestsellers. I declare that folk will know my name even before I know theirs for the good. I declare that my body will be healthy. I decree that God will continue to guide my family, my household and my finances so that we stay out of debt and never lack for anything. I decree that we shall no longer rent anything but shall own that which He would have us too. And I cannot be selfish for I am speaking a financial breakthrough for our church that gives us the means to build the fellowship hall we need with minimal out-of-pocket cost. I am speaking continued health for our Pastor and First Lady in order for them to do the work they have been called to do. I speak a renewed refreshing over every member of our church so that our worship is made greater in Jesus name. I speak deliverance over my family so the ones who don’t know God like they should, can get to know Him, that finances are increased, debts are decreased, sickness are healed and hurt and anger is broken. Oh it shall be done!

And I decree to you reading this … your life too shall be better, this time next month; if you believe. How do I know? Because I have faith that it shall be. John 14:12-14 says, “I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father. You can ask for anything in my name, and I will do it, so that the Son can bring glory to the Father. Yes, ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it!” I am asking of these things today with the faith that they shall come to pass, why can’t I believe that they will be? What about you? God has given us the power to come boldly before Him and ask of Him anything that we need, we lack because we slack! We can’t blame Him. Today, I am declaring that my tomorrow won’t be the same. You can sit back and wait if you choose that’s you but as for me; there’s more that I need from the Lord because there is more that He requires of me. This time next month … Oh, I believe it to be so! Just wait!

Daily Devotional – 3/30/15 “It’s for a reason!”

It’s almost a new month … what have you accomplished so far this year? Are you still in the woe is me slump you were in at the beginning of the month? Are you still claiming this to be your year but you’ve yet to get up? Are you still wandering around in your pit of should haves? Or have you gotten up? Yea, I know you’re in your storm, you’ve seen your share of tribulations, you can’t seem to get anything right, every time you take a few steps forward you get knocked back, each time something good happens there is bad attached to it or every time you get ready to walk through the door it gets shut in your face but listen … God isn’t using these momentary trials to take you out but He is trying to get you to tap into your destiny! Yea! Don’t you know that if God wanted to snatch the life from your body by now, He would have? If God was ready for your number to be called, He could have done it already. Look around you; aren’t you still being blessed in spite of your situations? I already know the answer because you’re reading this; all you have to do now is get out of the test what is being taught! Are you listening? Are you taking notes? Are you ready to be elevated or is fear still running or should I say ruining your life?

Beloved, God is using the areas of your life that are causing you hell to assess the strength of your faith in Him – How strong is it? God is using your trials to test your strength – will you pass? God is allowing storms to show up in your life to see if you’ll still be claiming Him when they are over – who’s set you claiming? I mean; are you a ride or die Saint or you just a wimp who allows the enemy to defeat them? What are you doing? You know the verse that says in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future,” yet every time the enemy shows up you start to doubt. God is not a man who has to lie and He doesn’t need to make false promises to get you on His side because He said He’ll make rocks cry out for Him yet He gives us chance after chance to get it right. What are you waiting on? It doesn’t matter what you’re facing right now, if you are of God; it isn’t to take you out but if you aren’t doing what you know you should be doing then it maybe to get you to see that your destiny is ahead and you’re missing it. God doesn’t punish us but He will use things to get us to see the potential in our purpose, the depth of our destiny and the cause of our calling IF we are willing to see it. It’s not to hurt, kill or destroy us but it’s all for a reason. Take time to find out what your reason is.

Daily Devotional – 3/27/15 “Just tell them … I’m being favored!”

Why is it, as Saints of God, we care so much about what folk say about us yet we rarely take heed to what God says? I mean we fear man but we’ll test God. We walk around on egg shells to appease folk’s feeling but won’t keep God’s commandments. We’ll spend every dime we got to make folk happy but moan and complain about giving God a dime out of every dollar He allows us to make. We go out of our way to keep him or her happy yet we won’t find our way to God’s house on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and surely not Friday or Saturday. Oh and don’t let Pastor take vacation, you take one too. I don’t get it. This isn’t right! Our priorities are screwed up! We care more about pleasing flesh but what about getting the favor of God? We want man’s approval but what about God’s authority? We claim to not care about what folk think but if we didn’t, we wouldn’t try so hard to fit in. Well baby, I ain’t never tried to fit in because that’s where everybody else was. I don’t need to fit in; I simply need to be favored.

See, fitting in can’t open up doors but favor can. Fitting in can’t get my name in places I ain’t never been but favor can. Fitting in can’t promote me when the paper says I’m not qualified but favor can. Fitting in can’t allow me to preach in a man dominated world but favor can. Fitting in can’t … but favor can. When you stop worrying about what folk say, you’ll hear what God has to say. When you stop listening to meaningless mess, you’ll finally hear God’s message for your life. When you stop allowing folk to demote you, you’ll be able to see your destiny. When you stop stressing over stuff that ain’t even worthy of stressing over, God can then shift you to where you need to be! Baby, folk will turn your dreams into a nightmare especially when it’s bigger than theirs – learn how to leave folk out of your dreams! Folk will walk your vision into the ground when they can’t catch on to your victory dance – dance without them! Folk will say you’re being funny when you change just tell them you’re being favored! Folk will say you don’t look the same, just tell them you’re being favored. Folk might even say you don’t talk the same, just them … I’m being favored!

Daily Devotional – 3/26/15 “Stop hiding!”

Falling doesn’t take away your favor any more than standing makes you saved! I don’t know who this is for but baby get up, stop being ashamed! I don’t know what all you’ve done but get up, stop hiding! I don’t know all the sins you’ve committed but you don’t know all of mine either so get up, quit being embarrassed by what you used to do. I don’t know all the crap you had to go through to get to where you are and if you don’t feel like sharing your story, that’s fine but stop hiding. Stop being ashamed of the hell you’ve made it through. Stop being scared to show the scars that now allows you to remember when you wrestled with hell and came out victorious. Stop being afraid to shout you are no longer what you used to be. Who cares about those folk who are saying you are your mother’s child and you’ll probably end up like her – they obviously don’t know your father God. Don’t give too much thought to the naysayers who say you’ll end up like the rest of the folk who look like you – they couldn’t have seen the track record of the one who designed your destiny. Don’t pay much attention to the folk on the sideline who are beckoning for you to quit, they gave up a long time ago – they had no idea your purpose is up ahead.

Yea, it gets hard and some days giving up look easy. Yea, it gets harder and some days giving up look easier. Yea, it gets it’s hardest and some days giving up look easiest but don’t pay it no mind. That’s simply the enemy playing tricks on you but hold on in there. That ole enemy will make it seem like nothing you do is right but he’s a lie and the truth is nowhere in him. God has made you brand new, act like it and stop hiding. You no longer have to be ashamed of what or who you used to be. If God no longer counts it against you, man shouldn’t either; stop allowing them too. Grandma says, it’s not about what folk call you, it’s what you answer too. When you stop allowing folk to call you what you’re no longer associated with, they’ll get the memo that you’re no longer that person. If your nickname associates you with mess, stop using it and if folk can’t get with the change, change them! It’s time out for childish things and time in for kingdom business. We either work for God or we don’t, there are no in between. And when you make the decision, do it and stop hiding. You can’t be ashamed to serve God because He surely isn’t ashamed of us! Yes, you will make a mistake; a few in your lifetime but get up and repent; don’t hold your head down in shame.

Daily Devotional – 3/25/15 “In God’s time!”

God does everything in His time; all we have to do is …

  1. Be obedient to the assignment
  2. Stay in His will during the assignment
  3. Keep our faith throughout the assignment
  4. Finish the assignment

See, many times we don’t do any of those things because we don’t go where God tells us to go, we lose faith because it gets too hard and we give up because giving up seems easier to do but what has “quitting” giving you lately? Yea, what has “given up” gotten you recently? How has “throwing in the towel” worked out for you? Has back sliding gotten what you needed yet? I’m just asking? Has staying in your problem fixed your problem? Then why not trust God? All He has asked of us is to trust Him. You do know that when we trust Him, He’ll trust us, right? I know that you’ve been waiting and waiting but wait some more because in God’s time. I know it feels like you’ve been wandering in the wilderness like a crazy person but in God’s time. I know you want that promotion but in God’s time. You want that new car but in God’s time. You want that new house, in God’s time. You’ve even been on that transplant list for a while now but in God’s time. Don’t rush His timing. For the bible says in 2 Peter 3:9, “The Lord isn’t really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent.” Don’t rush God! Be obedient to what He tells you, even if it seems strange. Yes, He will have you doing some strange things yet stay in His will, keep the faith and finish the assignment because the reward is worth it!
