Daily Devotional – 8/12/19 “Open your mouth, mane!”

There may come a time when the thing God gave you instruction to do, doesn’t produce like it should. There may come a time when the place He sent you, looks deserted, dry and desolate. There may come a time, when the assignment feels more like punishment instead of purpose. A time, when you keep looking at yourself, trying to figure out, exactly what God is doing. Here’s what I’m learning, as I journey this thang called purpose. God gives us power to restore life to the dry bones. When Ezekiel was in the valley of dry bones, God asked him, in Ezekiel 37:3, “Son of man, can these bones live?” To which Ezekiel replied, “O Lord GOD, You know.” He was placing the matter back into God’s hands but then God tells Ezekiel, “Prophesy to these bones and say to them, ‘Dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!” Ezekiel says in 37:7-8, “So I prophesied as I was commanded. And as I was prophesying, there was a noise, a rattling sound, and the bones came together, bone to bone. I looked, and tendons and flesh appeared on them and skin covered them, but there was no breath in them.” God said, “Prophesy to the breath.” To which Ezekiel says, “So I prophesied as he commanded me, and breath entered them; they came to life and stood up on their feet—a vast army.”

What am I saying? Mane, if you don’t open your mouth and prophesy to the dry areas of your life. Understand something, Ezekiel prophesied to things that once had life and not to dirt and created life. So, don’t start speaking to an empty building and expecting it to burst forth as your business and then get mad at me. This isn’t what I mean. However, if you know God has purposed your marriage, ministry, business, book, conference and etc. and at this moment, it seems to be dying or dead; open your mouth and prophesy to those dry bones by faith and God’s word. Prophesy for the body to be restored and then prophesy for the breath (life). Stop doing that thing where you doubt yourself. Stop downplaying the power God has equipped you with. You have the power to prophesy but you’ve got to open your mouth. God has prepared you and all you have to do is open your mouth. Open your mouth and prophesy WITH FAITH AND GOD’S WORD and watch those things live and be profitable again. And when someone asks, how you did it. Tell them, So, I prophesied…
