I’ve shared this before, but somebody needs to hear, well read this … Sometimes you need to stage an intervention for your doggone self! Look, if we wait on folk to make life easier for us, it never will be. This is why, you have to stop waiting on somebody to help you, they’ll want the credit when you’re restored. Here’s what you do, sit yourself down and stage an intervention, to get you out of the rut you’re in. How? Start by looking yourself in the mirror and saying; I’m tired of being the way I am, I’m tired of looking this way, I’m sick of being labeled by my mess and I’m tired of being addicted to people and stuff that mean me no good. Then take the blame. How? By no longer blaming folk; they didn’t make you do what you did. By no longer blaming momma and daddy, you’re grown now and capable of making your own choices; break the curse. By no longer using what that pastor from 1982 did, there are thousands of other churches with pastors who are capable of covering and healing you; out of that despair.
Make today the start of your intervention, by making the decision to get free. Give up the negativity, the anger, the hatred for others, the worrying, always wanting to blame someone else, the excuse as to why you can’t … today is the day it stops! Stop looking at what you don’t have and count what you do have, and I can guarantee DO outweighs DON’T. Beloved, it’s time you get self together and get this, it’ll only work if you work! Come out of fear and comfortability and make the first step. Come out of wanting to do it for others and need to do it for self. Sure, the first step is the hardest and you might even fall/fail; a few times before you get it right, but Bible says in Deuteronomy 31:8 “Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you.” God is there, holding the door of freedom open for you but you’ve got to walk through it yourself. If you don’t know how to begin, start with … “Lord, deliver me from me because I’m ready to be free.”
