Our Father, holy is thy name; may your kingdom come on Earth as it is in Heaven. Thank you, God, for allowing another chance to see this day that wasn’t promised. Thank you for giving me another opportunity to petition your throne of mercy and for letting me get up from my sleep with the activity of all the limbs you saw fit for me to have. Thank you for letting me find my family alive and well, for the air that I breathe, the sun that’s shining, the few clouds that are in the sky, the birds that are singing and the wind that’s blowing. God, thank you for the small things that many take for granted on a daily basis. Now, oh God, I come to you today praying for the women of this world, for they need your strength to carry on, they need your direction to walk on, they need your comfort to hold on and they need your hope to help on. God, somebody is fighting a battle that is not theirs to fight, give her the confidence she needs to walk away victorious even though she may be deemed a loser in man’s eyes. God, somebody is dealing with the pressures of being a single mother, she can’t seem to keep food on the table, her lights on, her car note or rent paid, the medicine she needs, she can’t take the kids to the dentist/doctor like they need to go and she can’t buy them the clothes/shoes they need but show her now that you are her provider. God, some mother has been up all night long crying because she had to say goodbye to her child who was killed due to violence, comfort her like only you can. Then comfort the mother who is searching for a missing child because no one can understand the pain that she is feeling at this very moment. Now, God, go into the hospitals and sit with the mother who is sitting by the bedside of the child the doctors have given up on, wrap your arms around the mother who is waiting on the surgeon to return, the one who just received the news that the cancer has returned and the one who hasn’t had sleep in days because the chemo is taking a toll on their child’s body. God, protect the woman who is being abused and too afraid to leave, show her the way out. Protect the mother who has to work all night long, allow her to make it home safely every night. Guide the mother who has lost her way and too scared to ask for help. Deliver the woman who has thoughts of suicide when it seems like she is being knocked down every way she turns. Deliver the teacher who is standing in front of a class after drinking all night long. Deliver the principal who finds courage from the drugs she is pushing through her veins. Deliver the lawyer who finds joy sleeping with other women’s husbands. Deliver the executive who has a desire for young boys or girls. Deliver the police officer who abuses her power by abusing others. Deliver the minister who is spreading false doctrine to a congregation she is supposed to guide. God, do it like only you can because the women are getting weaker and we need your strength. Build them up to be the woman of their house, build them up so that they can pick up the pieces and live when their hearts have been broken, build them up so that when friends walk away, they’ll keep walking on and build them up so that they can take care of their household when their husband is no longer there. God, build up their self-esteem so that they pull down their dresses and become the virtuous woman you speak about in your word. Build up her self-confidence so that she knows she is beautiful every time she looks in the mirror. God, go in now and remove the hate that she has held against her daddy so that she can see the love in her man, remove the hurt from all the things she has been through in her past so that she can trust folk again, remove the gossip from her lips so that she can help folk and remove the judgment from her eyes so that she can see the good in folk. Oh, God I thank you for making women stronger, for making us wiser, for making us willing to work for you, for making us helpers of men, for making our shoulders strong enough to carry the burdens of this world, for making our knees strong enough to endure the long prayer sessions for our families and for making us able to smile when we want to cry. Now, God I am yet again claiming victory over women today and I am claiming healing from cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure, low blood pressure, low iron, heart disease, strokes, fibroids, tumors, ovarian cancer, migraines, sinus pressure and any other sickness or disease that tries to claim our lives. God, cover and protect all the women who are pregnant; allow the blessing that is growing inside of them to be healthy and allow them to be able to provide their every need. God, touch the woman who is reading this so that everything she touch, that is in your name, is bountifully blessed and enlarge her territory and allow her to see that her gift will make room for her. Continue to bless us God and continue to make us stronger on our Christian walk. These blessings I ask and this prayer I submit in your name. Amen
