Daily Devotional – 10/15/12 “Daily Prayer – Day 2, For the men!”

If you are not friends with me on Facebook, let me explain about the daily prayer. God woke me up early Saturday morning to let me know that you needed prayer. He didn’t have to tell me the reason because I don’t have to know in order to pray for you because when I pray and I do so in the right frame of mind then the Holy Spirit will join in with me to fill in the blanks; so I don’t have to know your situation. So, for the next 7 days (started Sunday 10/14) I will be doing a daily prayer. You can find yesterday’s prayer on my Facebook Page (Lakisha Johnson) or Kisha’s Daily Devotionals. If you need prayer, let me know. You can email me at kishasdevotionals@comcast.net, inbox or write it on my wall on Facebook or send me a tweet on Twitter (#marcydionne). Again, you don’t have to go into detail unless you choose too.

Today I am praying for the men because they need more encouragement, today, than ever before.

Our Father in Heaven, it is me once again petitioning your throne. First, oh God, I must thank you because when I woke up this morning I was able to see a new day that wasn’t promised, I looked around and I knew where I was which means you regulated my mind one more time, I was able to move so you gave me back all the activities of my limbs, I was able to stand so you gave me strength, I had all my senses, I had an appetite and food to eat, I had warm water to bathe in, clothes and shoes to put on, a job to go too, kids to send to school, a husband who wants to work and provide for his family, a car to drive in and an opportunity to serve you once more; so I must thank you. Thank you for being all that you said you would be and more. Thank you for giving to me after you have already given too much. Thank you for loving me when I don’t deserve it, walked with me after I’ve taken the wrong path, picked me up after I’ve fallen and dried my tears when I cry. And thank you God for never breaking a promise. Now, God I come to you in prayer asking you to bless the men of this world because they need you more than ever because living and providing is getting harder. God, bless them to be stronger and wiser Christian men and let them know that there’s nothing wrong with praising you. God give them the fire they need to go to worship service with their families on Sunday and get them back to being the head of their households. Remove the old mentality of going to church and even paying tithes so that their Christian walk is greater than ever before. God give them the courage to praise you without caring about whose watching and the courage to dance for you even when it’s not Sunday morning. God strengthen their tongue and mind to be able to pray over their family, strengthen their bodies so that they can work to be the provider, strengthen their mind to let go of things that have happened in the past and allow them to move on. God, right now, I ask you to bind insecurities, bind adulterous ways and thoughts, bind the temptations that make them want to stray away from home, bind the attacks by the enemy that keeps them from being the daddy that they should be, bind alcoholism, drug addictions, sex addictions and abusive, controlling behaviors. God I ask that you remove the thought of suicide from the dad who can’t provide for his family so he feels like this is his only option but let him know that you are the option. Bind the thoughts of the dad who wants to steal because he needs to clothe his daughter or son, let him know there is another way. Bind the hands of the dad who came home on last night after drinking too much and wants to abuse his son or daughter. Bind the actions of the dad who thinks walking away will be better for his children now because he has fallen on bad times. God I am asking for healing over prostate cancer, colon cancer, breast cancer, arthritis, lupus, high blood pressure, kidney disease, gout, dementia, Alzheimer, heart disease, stroke, blocked arteries, heart attacks and diabetes. God lift up the men today because the enemy thinks he is winning this round but I am claiming victory right now! Victory over unemployment, over sickness, over deadbeat dads, back child support, high child support and no good baby mommas who makes the lives of good daddy’s hell. I am standing in the gap today shouting victory over the enemy, letting him know that he cannot win, he will not win and he shall not win. God, I am standing proclaiming victory and I am looking in the devil’s face to let him know that he cannot have our men. God, touch the hands, hearts, minds and souls of every man today where ever they are, enlarge their territories, increase their coming in and decrease their going out, if it is your will. Allow them to find jobs with health insurance, find decent housing and schools for their children and a decent car they can afford. Do these things for them now because they need it. Help them now, God! Touch the man that is reading this or the man of the woman who is reading this because she can start the claiming process for him; claiming whatever they’ve been asking for. Bless the business of the men that they may be profitable and bless the work that their hands find to do so that they can leave a legacy to their families. God I ask these things in your name because you said that all I had to do was ask. Grant their prayer requests now and then give them peace to stop worrying, send them rest so that they can sleep and stop pacing and give them a touch from you so that they know that they are not alone. Do it now like only you can because I know that you can and you will. Bless our men to be better husbands, better daddies, better brothers, better uncles, better granddaddies, better cousins, better friends and even better prayer partners. Deliver them from whatever is holding them down and whatever is holding them back. Do it because I am asking as if it is already done. Thank you Father for creating men for women, thank you for making them the head and not the tail, the lender and not the borrower; first and not last. Oh God, I thank you for your power. This prayer I humbly submit to you in your name. Amen
