Beloved, God can blow your mind; if you let Him. Yea, I know He’s sent you some places you’re unfamiliar with, told you to help somebody you don’t like, had you ministering in an unknown territory, sent you a spouse you never thought you’d had but I’m a living witness that sometimes God will do some things that don’t make sense to us. Yea, God will speak some things over our lives that will mess us up, all because it’s not in our natural mind to understand it. Every time I think about how He saved a wretched like me, it doesn’t make sense. Every time I think about how He bought Grandma back from the brink of death, it doesn’t make sense. When I think on how His healing manifested in my sister, it doesn’t make sense. Each time I think about the blessings of my family and friends, it doesn’t make sense! But get this … it doesn’t have to make sense to me as long as God is the one doing it. See, I may not understand but I know, for a fact; God has a plan and I trust Him.
It didn’t make sense when God told you to grab that umbrella, when the forecast didn’t call for rain, until it started raining. It didn’t make sense when God told you to quit your job until you saw the new door open that allowed you to start your own business. It didn’t make sense when God told you to leave the only church you’ve been a member of until you realized you weren’t being spiritually fed. It didn’t make sense when God told you to speak to the person next to you until you understood, that person needed encouragement. It didn’t make sense when God told you to turn at the light until you did and realized your life was just spared. It didn’t make sense when God told you to go to that worship service on Sunday instead of your own but it was where you needed to be. It didn’t make sense when God told you to let that person go until you understood they were the one holding your joy. It didn’t make sense why God kept putting you in a certain place until His blessing was manifested there. Do you get what I’m sharing with you? Not everything God does make sense to us but it’s for our good. We don’t have to understand it as long as we believe in Him, the one doing it.
